Surprise, surprise! Looks like art is coming to Montrose for once as underground exhibits pop up and established hipster non-profits vie for the attention of all those beer drinking kids. After years of focus on the east side of downtown and rumors of Midtown’s ascension to prominence the last few months have seen a DIY explosion off Westheimer. Catbirds has promoted successful shows since last summer, with regular sales and diverse talent courtesy of Lindsay. Refuge, four apartments off of Taft Street, opens this month with a premiere exhibit featuring Leila Dallal, and a night of performances January 27th...
